The second wedding I had the pleasure of capturing on this beautiful Canada Day long was that of Marie-Ève and Daniel. It was a day full of great moments and the beautiful weather was a bonus that allowed us to go to some pretty nice spots for some shots after the ceremony.
I've known Marie-Ève for a few years now. She was my mentor as I completed the Summer Company Program in 2014, and helped me through obstacles as I first started doing photography professionally in Chapleau. I remember when I heard that she was engaged and when she told me the story of how he proposed. Of course when she asked me if I would photograph her day, I happily said yes.
The bride, bridesmaids, maids of honour, the junior maid of honour and the flower girl all looked great in their matching and customized robes. Even Marie-Ève's dog Diesel looked dashing in his suit.
Marie-Ève is a very talented musician and vocalist. After they said their "I do's" Daniel was surprised with a personal performance by Marie-Ève. Her song choice was "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain (which is a personal favourite of mine). It was very beautifully done and I am certain I wasn't the only teary eyed person in the building.
For the formal shots of the wedding party and the bride and groom, there were a series of spots the couple had in mind, each great in their own way and each surrounded by beautiful scenery.
The venue was absolutely gorgeous. The amount of effort in making each detail count was evident, and the overall feel of the setup was truly unique and beautiful. Right down to the personalized wedding cake topper, these decorations fit perfectly with how the bride and groom wanted to be first surround by family and friends as husband and wife.
It was a very beautiful day and I was honoured to have been the one chosen to capture each moment.
Congratulations, Marie-Ève and Daniel!
