This past weekend, as I realized that the weather would be very cold, I didn't particularly feel like going out and freezing my butt off. However, from experience, I know that with the cold comes some amazing colours in the morning. So I forced myself outside and while I thought that the clouds would make it impossible to capture what I would like to, I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong.
This little adventure was quite a short one. Normally, Alex and I will stick around for over an hour (sometimes more) have a look around, eventually become friends with a few birds and then decide to leave. This time though, it was quite cold and the sun didn't cooperate much after about a half an hour after we got there. The different colours disappeared and there was only deep blue left with the yellow sun in the sky. Absolutely nothing wrong with blue skies; but it does make for more dull photography when it become a large part of the frame.
I was really having fun with the silhouette aspect of the atmosphere this morning. And with the different colours appearing and disappearing through the process of the sun rising, I was able to get some really simple and elegant images of this crisp morning.
Despite how quickly the light changed and how the clouds after a while did not work in my favour, I was glad to see some hues of blue and yellow come through the scenery to create some really awesome silhouette subject matter.
Thank you for reading!
I hope you enjoyed this adventure that surprisingly turned into something great.
