This past weekend we decided to take a little spontaneous trip back to one of our favourite places; Elora! The weather was gorgeous, you could not have asked for a better Labor Day long weekend. And to our surprise (because we've only been to Elora a few times and didn't know when this would happen) the once raging river in the gorge was now only inches deep! This made for a whole new Elora Gorge exploring adventure!
This visit was the first time it was sunny the whole day. Seeing everything in pure sunlight just put a smile on my face that wouldn't go away.
Despite the beautiful weather, there is already some leaves changing!
The water was still, the texture was bold, the stick was at a great angle; I couldn't help it.
Because we were able to go down (and literally on) the gorge, I was able to get a whole new vantage point of the bridge that was just awesome. The magic of angle work here makes the river look full - when in reality, it's a very shallow pool of water surrounded by rock. The water was so still and the reflection was perfect.
I love this place, I really do. I don't think this will be the last blog post about Elora - it's just so pretty!
Thank you very much for reading! I hope you liked this little spontaneous adventure to one of my happy places.
