As most of you have probably heard, Niagara Falls is like a Narnia Winter Wonderland! I couldn't pass the opportunity to go out, see it for myself and capture some of its icy magic. This is my favourite part of winter. Not the slushy, mild, wet cold - the brisk, freeze your hair, crunchy snow and beautiful winter sky. This is what we've been experiencing in Southern Ontario; and it's been great.
The mist created by the Falls was really the star of this show as it moved over almost all of the Falls. It changed with the wind and sometimes became in the way. Nonetheless, it was a big cloud of cold and it looked amazing lit by the sun.
The lamp posts and trees in the area didn't stand a chance. They were frozen solid and absolutely awesome looking.
As the sun began to set, a pretty pink hue fell upon the horizon and dusted gently over the clouds; making them look like masses of cotton candy. That's when things looked the most magical.
Though the feeling of my extremities disappeared somewhat, the whole of the adventure made up for the numbness. It really was a sight to see.
Thank you for reading!
I hope you enjoyed yet another adventure in the winter wonderland.
