Hockley Valley Nature Reserve - J. K. Ribout Photography

August 8th, 2017

After 3 weeks of not being able to go on a hike, we finally made it! This little journey takes you to Hockley Valley Nature Reserve. Beautiful area, though I did not expect the amount of hills needed to climb to finish this thing. Either I'm out of practice, or I'm not as in good of shape as I think I am - both could be true. Either way! I hope you enjoy these photographs. It was beautiful and green, we came across an old abandoned car and at one point I thought we were going to get eaten... It was just the trees.

My boyfriend and I have a really bad habit of not looking at the weather before we leave. We check the Mississauga weather, but fail every time to realize that by driving a minimum of 45 minutes may cause a change in the weather. In this case, it was a bit more raining than we initially thought. But it only rained off and on, and not to heavily. Of course, as luck would have it, the sun came out and the clouds disappeared after we were out of the trails and having lunch in a cute cafe in Orangeville.

There is a random abandoned car found in the trail. It's both eerie and cool. It also makes for some great textured photography.

Near the end of the trail we came across this opening. This has such an England vibe to it and I love everything about it. The dark clouds in the distance mixed with the vibrant greens really make for a beautiful scene.

Thank you for reading!

I hope you enjoyed this little adventure.
