For my birthday this year, my boyfriend Alex made some surprise plans for us to go out. One of those plans was to take me to High Tea at in the Library Bar at the Royal York. Sounds fancy huh? It really was! The environment was gorgeous. But the best part was that there is a tour they offer to guest on the weekend - a tour to the freaking roof garden and terrace! So here's a little blog post about that adventure as well as some pretty great shots I was able to take of the beautiful view (I recently invested in the Sony a6000, the little beauty fits in my small purse - so I was prepared.).
There are so many reflective buildings in downtown Toronto, and the clouds and blue sky made for amazing shots. The CN Tower was literally right there - so it was really interesting to see it from a different vantage point. There was some smoke coming from a chimney that really made for some cool effects and awesome photo opportunity.
On the roof, there is a small seating area with couches and whatnot as well as bee hives they use to produce the honey in the hotel and an herb and strawberry garden. It was really beautiful!
It was a really cool day.
Thank you for reading!
I hope you enjoyed this little adventure.
